Does Promoting on Youtube Work ?

I think everyone that has a Youtube video at some point is thinking of how to promote their videos and drive traffic to their channel. While 50% of the people that are actually thinking of doing it, but probably only another 30% of that is willing to pay for it. Depending on the category and videos you are uploading, the average CPC could be anywhere between $0.05 cents to over $1.00 dollar. Now for small businesses and up and coming youtubers, this may seem  like a small amount, but when you are thinking about in terms of per views statistics, it can be very expensive.

How long Should you promote on Youtube

Depending on the category you are in, I would say you need to aim for being the first 1-3 page of youtube in your niche. If you type in "How to be a beauty guru" in the search results, I would see how many people come up in the first 3 pages of those exact same words and see the number of those views for those channels. If you are looking for an average, I would say 3,000 views or more would probably give you a good start assuming that there are not a lot of people making these videos matching the same exact description. Once you have hit the average views in the niche you are promoting, then the video should be able to be discovered on it's own.

How Much Should I Invest on Promoting My Video

Try starting off with promoting at $25.00, and see if you have any immediate results, if you do, then you can continue until you have the met the amount of views you are expecting and if you have the budget to do so.

Has promoting work for me?

Yes, absolutely, My views went from " a Nobody care" to "wow this is a popular" video immediately. I made this simple tutorial and I started to notice it was getting more views by the hour. I woke up in my nap one day, and I was shocked how many views I got. I think promoting in general works for anyone and everyone, but you have to be sure that the video is good and it will drive someone to watch it again. One person might accidentally click on it to be curious, but if that person likes the video, they may save it and watch it later or share on their social media networks. Having 1 viewer does not mean having 1 view, that person might turn around and watch your video for 5- 10 times.

Here's an example of an video of mine that received very well responses.
